Lender Recommendations

Financing Your Home Purchase in the Puget Sound Area Starts Here

Local lenders I trust, and what buyers should know before getting pre approved.

One of the most common questions I get from buyers is where to start with financing and who to talk to first. Over the years I have worked with a number of local lenders, and the ones listed here are people I have personally closed transactions with and trust to communicate well, give clear numbers, and help buyers move smoothly from pre approval to closing.

In our local market, the lender you choose can make a real difference. Strong pre approval, accurate timelines, and good communication often help buyers compete more effectively when multiple offers are involved. The goal is not just getting a loan. It is making sure you are fully prepared before you start writing offers.

If you are just starting the process, reaching out to a lender does not mean you are committing to anything. Most first conversations are simply about understanding your goals, reviewing loan options, and answering questions so you can decide what makes sense for you.

I usually recommend speaking with more than one lender so you can compare communication style, loan options, and overall comfort level. The right fit matters, and you should feel confident with whoever you choose.

I have helped many buyers successfully work through this process, including first time buyers and clients using down payment assistance programs, and have seen firsthand how preparation on the financing side makes the entire home buying experience much smoother.

When Should I Talk to a Lender?

Many buyers assume they need to be ready to buy immediately before speaking with a lender, but that is usually not the case. A conversation early in the process can actually make things easier later.

It may be a good time to reach out if:

• You are starting to think about buying in the next 6 to 12 months and want to understand your price range
• You want to explore down payment options or learn about available assistance programs
• You are curious what your monthly payment might look like before seriously home shopping
• You want to strengthen your position before writing offers in a competitive market

A quick conversation does not obligate you to move forward. It simply gives you clear information so you can plan confidently.

Not sure where to start or want a second opinion before reaching out? I am always happy to talk through your situation first and help you decide what makes the most sense. You are never required to use any specific lender in order to work with me. My goal is simply to make sure you have a strong team and clear information from the beginning.
